Inter footballers promoted to AFL3
AFL4 Promotion Playoff St Sylvesters 0-10 St Brigids 0-8. We finished the job of winning promotion after leaving it behind us last Feb against O'Dwyers. The game was played on Brigids all weather pitch but that didn't seem to cause us any disadvantage. The game was delayed due to the ref being late but that didn't disturb us either. We played into a cold stiff wind and low winter sun in the first half and gave a super display of sensible football, no mistakes at the back, and enough scores on the break to go in 0-6 to 0-4 down, a good result.

It took us a long time to break them down in the second half, Brigids now defending well and scoring on the break. Some excellent lay from Ciaran Byrne and Micháel McCarthy in the corners, Gavin McArdle and Digger in the middle and a solid backline marshalled by Dominic in the middle.
Congratulations to Derek and his team who worked through a very long season to achieve this goal.
