Inters lose by 2 in Championship

IFC St Sylvesters 1-5 Naomh Barrog 0-10 Two point loss in a game we certainly hoped to win. Played into a strong wind we were three plints behind after 10 minutes but then got ourselves into the game, point from Ciaran McArdle, missed a couple of frees and an inspirational point from Dave Keogh coming from full back. We seemed to be holding them well but let them off the hook in the last five minutes of the half and went in six to two at the break.

Second half started positively but we did everything except score, Ciaran Roche was pulling the strings at centre forward, Mark Reilly and Enda holding the middle, we worked a good goal after fifteen minutes through David Bannigan and all looked promising. Paudie Tracy burst forward for another great point but we just couldn't shake off Barrog - their hard working mid field and half forward line conjuring a couple of scores against the wind while we continued to spurn chances.
