JUNIOR FOOTBALLERS CONTINUE A GREAT SEASON
The team are having a great season and are top of the league with two games to play. Next up are Oliver Plunketts on 9th September with the final league game away to St.Vincents who are in second place, currently one point behind us. The team are also in the Junior Championship semi-final against St James Gaels which is scheduled for 16th September and to cap it off are also in the cup final, date to be confirmed shortly.
This team is a blend of young players recently out of the minor ranks and older local lads who have contributed much to junior football for Syls over the years. They have put in a huge effort since we started in February winning 21 of their 23 competitive games so far this year. We have 4 (and hopefully 5) big games coming up over the next few weeks and we could do with plenty of support to help the lads as they try to finish the job.
