Junior Hurling Corn Fag a Bhealach. Played Grangegorman 11th November 2012

St Brendan's 1-12, St Sylvesters 1-12. Following a six week break in competition, the team started slowly and Brendan's midfielder Shane Foley was causing all sorts of problems for the Syls defence. Towards the end of the half, Peter Guyatt broke through on goal but was denied by a reflex save by the Brendan's keeper and the half time score was 1-7 to 0-6 for Brendan's.
A better second half saw the scoring equal with 4 points still between the sides on 26 minutes but then a Pat Hoyne 65 was followed by goal from Karl Steacy to level the scores. When Colm O Connor scored a point on 30 minutes we thought we had vicory secured but in the 5th minute of injury time Brendan's levelled the match. Killian Kirrane not only played a great game but also worked throughout the week ensuring that the players turned out. Ciaran Murray and Paul Christie were solid in the backs and Derek Morris had an assured game between the posts. Eamon Sullivan showed no ill effects from his 21st celebrations and Des Lehane made a welcome return after a hand injury in September. In midfield Breandán Flood was outstanding. Scorers were Colm O Connor(0-7,3f)Karl Steacy (1-0), Claude Scully (0-2), Pat Hoyne (0-2, 65's) and Conor Dwyer (0-1).
