CCC2 Board Notes:
I attach fixtures with assigned referees for the period Monday June 25th to Thursday June 28th.
Sent on behalf of Cathaoirleach CCC2, Alan O'Connor:
A Runai, a chara,
Please note the following;
CCC2 is under enormous pressure at the moment regarding fixtures.
Most of this has been caused by the weather but some issues have been
thrown up by Junior Cert exams and celebrations, Development Squads and
other matters. CCC2 will be adhering rigidly to the 10 day rule
regarding summer fixtures and will not grant deferals under any
circumstances other than bereavements.
CCC2 U/16 hurling fixtures scheduled for Sunday July 8th will now be fixed for Tuesday July 10th.This
is to facilitate an U/16 Hurling County Squad game vs. Galway on Sunday
July 8th and also the possibility that either or both the Dublin minor
and senior hurling teams may be playing in the Leinster hurling finals
that day. The Development Squad Footballers play Westmeath in the Gerry
Reilly tournament on Saturday July 7th and the finals of the All Ireland
Hurling Feile take place that day so we are not in a position to fix
any games for Saturday July 7th and any clubs rearranging any game for
that day should take into account that Football Development Squad players will NOT be available to them.
Please note the following in relation to the two Development Squad games mentioned above;
1. We have received an assurance from Coaching and Games that no dual player will be asked to play in both games.
2. Any club that has planned to field on Sunday 8th July and has
trouble fielding on Tuesday 10th July due to players making arrangements
in accordance with our issued calander should make this known to us
immediately. In that case the game will proceed on Sunday 8th July and Hurling Development Squad players will play with their clubs.
Back match dates are already filling up and clubs are urged to
check these dates, in the last two weeks of August, in order to ensure
that fixtures do not come as a surprise.
Refixed games may be played at any time during the summer where
both clubs agree and are not governed by the ten day rule in terms of
bringing a game forward. They may be played after the fixed date once
that date is not beyond ten days after the scheduled refixture date.
i.e. a refixed game scheduled for 16th August may be played any time
between now and 26th August.
All scheduled fixtures i.e. games that have been scheduled since
the start of the year for dates between 23rd June and 28th August remain
covered by the ten day rule and may not be played outside of this
period.
Pending further bad weather CCC2 will be fixing more games for the
last two weeks in August on appropriate, available dates and clubs are
asked to regularly check the website to ensure they are aware of their
games.
Is mise
Ailin O'Conchur,
Cathoiarlach, CCC2
