*MALAHIDE CLASSIC CAR SHOW TO BRING IRELAND'S VERY FIRST CAR HOME*

On Sunday 19th May the Grand Hotel Malahide will play host to the 2nd *Malahide Classic & Vintage Motor Show *a charity fundraiser by *Malahide Lions Club. The first petrol-driven car in Ireland, a Mercedes Benz Velo Comfortable, was imported in 1898 by Dr. John Colohan then owner of the Grand Hotel.

The car, now fully restored and owned by Motor Distributors Ltd., is due to make its first return in over 100 years to the Grand Hotel, arguably the birthplace of Irish motoring, to be the centrepiece of the Show.

A large number of classic and vintage vehicles are expected and we hope to see one and all there for a great afternoon of motoring nostalgia and family entertainment during which the hotel’s facilities will be available. Great value is promised for an admission charge of €5 per adult or €10 per family, to raise funds for local causes. Show times 12 - 6pm.

More details, including how to register a classic or vintage vehicle for the Show, are on
