Mickey "move over Joe Connolly" Meaney gets a mention in Coiste na nÓg annual report

Quote from Coiste na nÓg report "One other competition warrents special mention too - the hurling and football camaints. This is a competition which never disappoints and seems to be, thankfully, gaining momentum. This year we were very fortunate to secure Parnell Park for both the U11 and U12 finals. To say both days were incredible seems an understatement. The venue speaks for itself, but the amount of support the players received from their clubs was truly inspiring. Both days will live long in my memory as the embodiment of all we aspire to as guardians and tutors of our national games for our children. The highlight must surely be the U12 captain of St. Sylvesters (Michael Meaney) who on receiving the trophy on behalf of his team, delivered his acceptance speech totally spontaneously and in the most incredibly fluent, flawless Gaeilge. It was truly one of ' those moments'. Maybe we will hear him do the same in Pairc an Crocaigh in the future.!!"

I would also like to hi-light  from the Secretary report on CCC1 that St Sylvester Under 12 football team (2) came second in Division 4 Northside and won the under 12 C Football Cup under the guidance of Ciaran Meehan and John Maughan

Also St Sylvester's under 12 hurling team came second in the under 12 Hurling League Division 2 and won the under 12 Division 2 Camaint Cup Final where the afore mention speech was given
