Minor As lose at Na Fianna
MFL1 Na Fianna 1-17 St Sylvesters 0-08 The score doesn't tell the story well from our perspective. We have suffered many big defeats to this All Ireland winning Na Fianna side over the years and with Simon sidelined through injury and losing Jack two minutes into the game, things looked bad. We gave up a goal and a few points but I must say the lads rallied well and played some of their best football in a long while.
The full back line of Conor Dwyer, Eoin Hamill and Gary Greenan tackled tenaciously, Cian, Karl and Adam brought the game to Na Fianna while Brian Heffernan and Dylan Cashin up front were very unlucky not to find the net when we were 1-10 to 0-07 and we fighting very hard to get back into it. Collie Byrne hit a few smashing points from play and frees but Fianna finished the stronger and looked comfortable in the end. Plenty to please our lads nonetheless.
