Minor lose in stop start effort

The Minor A team lost by 8 points to Na Fainna in Broomfield in a game that mirrored the lazy summer evening - we played, we stopped, we started again - seemed like we weren't too sure whether or not we wanted to win this one. Na Fianna lead by 1-5 to 0-0 at half time and eventually won by 3-8 to 0-9.

We put in a decent shift after the break and pulled them back to 2 or 3 points only to give up a couple of softish goals and let them off the hook. The highlight for me was Colin Burke swapping the keepers jersey for corner forward and scoring a point from the corner flag that Ronaldho would have been proud of. Alan Foy wove his magic from time to time and scored a few beautiful frees, Aaron Carney threatened also, Greg McInerney was brilliant defending and coming out of the back line and was Hazley. Tadgh Dennehy, our favourite Kerryman,  was reffing and was entertaining as usual.
