MFL1 Syls 2-6 Raheny 1-04 - Super 5 point win over a very strong Raheny which puts us top of MFL1 and may be enough to win us the league or at least a playoff with Boden. It was a very impressive, if sometimes frustrating, display by our lads, dominating the play for most of the game but slow to make it show on the scoreboard. Both teams played extra men in the backline so it was difficult enough to see what was really happening.

Apart from a mistake in the first half we looked pretty comfortable at the back, Gary Greenan,Nial Higgens and Brian Shalloe winning ball when they needed to, Conor Ryan, Boyne and Peacock always pushing forward, Scuby was magnificent in the middle, outfielding Dubs star Paddy Higgens, almost goaling when we were 2 down with 10 minutes to play then winning te clearance to setup our goal and finally give us the lead. Meaney and Cahill were always busy but Cian McCarthy, Mark Finnerty and Gareth McGrath had a tough time in an over crowded Raheny inside line which took a long time to break down.
