Scoil Iosa Senior Girls Into Leinster Championship Semi Final

Today over in the Thomas Davis Ground Scoil Iosa Senior Girls Gaelic Football Team had a comprehensive win against Old Bawn S.S. Tallaght in the Leinster Quarter Final. Scoil Iosa 4-12 Old Bawn 1-3. Once again the girls put in a very strong display and are now in the last four in the Province.

This was a very good display as Old Bawn were runners up in the Leinster Final against Blessington last year and they had a strong team again this year with some of the Dublin Minor Panel. The Old Bawn trainer praised Scoil Iosa after the game and said they were the strongest team they had come up against in the last two years.

It was great to see a big support from Malahide for the game.  Thanks should also go to John Mangan Manager & Declan Hetherton who has been giving the girls extra training. The standard is going up with each Championship game, and there will be a tougher task ahead in the Leinster Semi Final.

For the moment however, Comhghairdeachas John Mangan, Ann, Declan agus na Cailiní go léir.
