The seniors left it late to beat Maurs by two points in the Vincent de Paul Cup. Gabriel is not having much luck preparing for the new season with fully 17 players off the senior panel missing for a variety of reasons. Having said that, they still won against a decent Maurs team playing good football (them, not us). David Keogh looked comfortable at centre back as did Ronan Palmer on the wing and Shane O'Connor in the middle. Nice winning point from Eoin Fanning and an insurance one from a free by Michael McCarthy.

Our Minors came back late against Brigids at Broomfield but, after giving up two soft goals straight after the break and against a strong wind, they trailed by 12 and put in a decent last quarter to lose by five.
