Seniors in good form on a beautiful evening

It's great to win well, no stress for Gabriel, reasonable crowd (I thought there would be more), lovely sunny evening, all kind of laid back.

AFL1 St Sylvesters 1-14 Raheny 0-4

And we were as comfortable as the score suggests. Raheny could point to two missing county stars, Ciaran Whelan and David Henry, and, maybe with them things may have been different but we were missing Kinsella, Roche, Clarke, Bennis, so, who knows. We clearly have a very deep panel with Adam Keaney, David Keogh, Ronan Palmer, Eoin Fanning all playing the full game.

The backline was pretty solid, although Raheny hit a huge amount of wides, Airy, Galvin and Sexton look strong across the half line, John Coughlan was in great form in the middle of the field and gave an exhibition of high fetching, well supported by a back in form Ross Hazely. Up front, Aido was the man - I don't know how many he scored but it was quite a few. Niall Coughlan also hit a few very nice scores.
