AFL1 St Sylvesters 0-11 St Oliver Plunketts ER 1-09 Narrow loss after a pretty good game at St Margarets excellent facility. I don't know did we ever lead, we were four down at one stage of the first half, but we came back strong each time and certainly should have drawn if not won in the end. Plunketts came out quicker and could have been home and hosed but for some committed defense. John and Shane came more ito the game and Gary, Eoin and Micháel contributed a few points and we were only down by two at the break.

Ross replaced Shane and we continued to get on top around the middle, Galvin at centre and Glenn on the right winning more breaks and Beano driving forward but Plunketts seemed to hold us up around the 35. Time and again we got impatient and shot early  making the Plunketts keeper one of the busier players on the field. Alan Foy showed a remarkable turn of speed as did Gary. Micháel hit 5 points, Nigel, Eoin and Gary two apiece . . .maybe missing one!

Probably not too disappointed, pity we didn't secure the draw but lots to be encouraged by.
