Seniors progress to last 16 in Championship

We made it through our second round of the 'backdoor' series at O'Toole Park on Wednesday. St Sylvesters 4-12 Ballinteer St Johns 0-5. We were pretty much at full strength (Ross Hazely looked like the only regular not available through injury) and our superior strength and fitness had us looking pretty comfortable throughout, leading about 2-9 to 0-3 at the break.

ST SYLVESTER’S 4-12 BALLINTEER ST JOHN’S 0-5

An Eoin Fanning goal midway (Eoin should explain this Renaldo style effort - he baffled the keeper, he also baffled the crowd - it was one of those 'Ah Jasus Eoin . . . . .whaa, GOAL!! type of effort) through the opening half set Sylvesters on their way to a facile 19-point victory in this Evening Herald Dublin SFC third round clash at OToole Park on Wednesday night. Six minutes before the half-time interval Fanning found the net for his second goal and points from Aidan Relihan and Brian Sexton help the Malahide men to a 2-9 to 0-2 lead at the break.
