Seniors win over Judes
AFL1 St Sylvesters 1-09 St Judes 0-07 Played in difficult conditions with driving wind and rain, it was a typically tough physical encounter against Jude's. we played against the wind in the 1st half and came in 6 . 3 up at half time, with the whole team working extremely hard.
New man Eugene Keating showed up well and scored a peach of a point to open the scoring, Nigel clipped over 3, Fanno got another and Gavin stormed up from full back for a great score.
2nd half Jude's came back at us with 2 good points, then Nigel scored a beaut from 40 yards, and a few mins later Eugene and Mark Brennan combined to put Nigel through for a cracking goal. Fanno and Nigel added further points to see us home.
Kian made his last appearance in a Syls jersey before emigrating to Boston. He's been a mighty full back for us and we will miss him badly. All in Syls wish him well, and Russy who has recently gone to Canada.
