Slow start the undoing of our U9s
Our Under 9 footballers faced a very good Castleknock outfit this Saturday in the Castle. The result (63-67) was a disappointment especially as we won the A match comfortably but went under in the other two.
This squad is talented, however they will have to learn that
the match starts when the referee blows the whistle for the 1st half
rather than the second as we have been very slow to start in all
matches and while we regularly get back, on Saturday we just gave
ourselves too much to do.
There was some consolation however as after the match all 30 plus
players plus a few parents made the short journey to Swords where Noel
Smyth provided a great lunch for all (including ice creams). We then
walked up to the Pavilions to the movies. Despite the result a great
day was had and it was a reward for all the hard work players and
parents have put in this season. Thanks To Noel and the Cock Tavern
staff and the staff in Movies @ Swords for their patience
Training again Tuesday and Wednesday and please bring back Mini All Ireland forms.
