St Sylvester’s GAA club notes

Dublin Ladies Intermediate Football Champions St Sylvester’s 1-15 Parnell’s 2-8 This is a fantastic achievement for Declan Barnes and his team and the rollercoaster continues for this inspirational group of players and team mentors.

Pride of place this week also goes to the junior 7 football team which is guaranteed promotion after a convincing victory over third placed St Brigit’s and they are also competing in the later stages of their two cup competitions. Declan McGrath and his fellow mentors have made great strides with this team and richly deserve their success.


The intermediate football team had plenty to spare in their fine win over Clan Na Gael.


The Intermediate hurlers play their championship semi-final against Setanta in Drumnigh on Saturday September 1st at 6pm. Please come along and support them. They have been putting on very good performances in the run up to this match.


Cathal O Donnell is still looking for six more boxers to complete his team and take on the mighty Malahide Rugby Club in this exciting fundraiser.


The club needs an attendance of 200 members for a successful EGM to give approval for the ball wall development. Please mark down Thursday September 6th as the date for the EGM to be held in Scoil Iosa at 9pm.
