St Sylvester’s GAA club notes

Our minor football team will play Kilmacud Crokes next Sunday in the A championship final with the venue and time to be confirmed. The team deserve all the support we can give them. Don’t miss this one.

The senior football team get the year started next Saturday with the St Vincent De Paul final replay against Leinster Champions Ballymun Kickhams in Ballymun at 2pm. 


In between these two great season openers on a busy weekend we have our Annual Awards Night in the Grand Hotel on Saturday night. Darragh O’Sé who has graced many great sporting occasions will be the guest speaker in what promises to be another fantastic night.


Please remember to pay your annual membership. It can be paid online through the

Website and there is also a membership form available on the website. We need your membership payment to fund the many activities of the club.


Kevin Heffernan, a quiet unassuming man, changed the future of GAA in Dublin in the 1970’s. We are forever indebted to him for his unparalleled devotion and contribution. We send our condolences to his family and friends at St Vincent’s. Thanks for the memories, Kevin. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dílis.
