St Sylvester’s GAA club notes

AFL1 St Sylvester’s 0-17 O’Tooles 1-5 A steady stream of good scores and a very mean defence gave us a comfortable lead going into the final quarter. Even manager, Gabriel Bannigan should have been pleased with this performance. Saturday’s game against St Maur’s was abandoned just after we scored to lead the game in the second half.

The conditions were really atrocious. They play at home to Ballymun in the semi-final of the Vincent De Paul Cup at 19.30 on Wednesday. Don’t miss it. Be there.

Junior D Championship Rosmini Gaels 1-5 St Sylvester’s 2-12

The junior football team were also in good scoring form with a very good championship victory over Rosmini.

AFL3 St Sylvester’s 3-10 Naomh Fionnbarra 4-4

Naomh Olaf 0-11 St Sylvester’s 2-11

The intermediates are travelling along nicely with two good wins this week that leave them just 3 points behind the leaders with a game in hand.

The hurlers play senior championship on Wednesday away to Kilmacud Crokes at 7.30 and we could really do with a win. Please come along and support. They play at away to Peregrines on Saturday in the league at 18.30.

The junior hurlers play at home in the championship against St Brigid’s on Tuesday also at 19.30 and they play league away to Erins Isle on Sunday at 11.00.

The minor football A team play away to Castleknock next Sunday morning at 11.00. The B team play Tomas Ashe away in Garristown at the same time.

This week’ Lotto jackpot is €3,450 and the draw takes place on Thursday evening in the club.
