St Sylvester’s GAA club notes October 7th

SFC St Sylvester’s 1-13 St Oliver Plunkett’s /ER 2-6 The senior football team put in a remarkable second half performance to overcome a six point deficit and qualify for the quarter finals. Darren Clarke and Micheál McCarthy provided the vital scores. The large support will be looking forward to the next round. The intermediates were unfortunate to lose out Cuala in their quarter final.

 

The ladies football team won the Intermediate All Ireland 7s title with a convincing win in the final against Na Piarsaigh of Galway. There is no stopping these remarkable girls and they continue with their quest to retain their Leinster title.


The minor hurlers scored 3-13 to Kilmacud’s 0-9 in their opening championship match. The under 16 hurlers were very unlucky to lose out to a disputed goal against Thomas Davis. The under 14 hurlers put in a great performance to defeat Lucan in a very exciting game in Bridgefield.
