Super win for Scoil Iosa Hurlers

Dublin Colleges Senior Hurling Championship Semi Final Scoil Iosa (Malahide) 3 – 11 Lucan CBS 3 – 9 Scoli Iosa reach the Senior Colleges Dublin hurling final with a superb 15 man performance over a very strong Lucan team in Broomfield.

Malahide open the game with two unanswered points, however when Lucan full forward Seanie Mc Celland (Dublin Minor Captain) found his feet he scored 2 – 4 in a superb display of hurling. Malahide to their credit never panicked and only trailed by 2 points at half time with a late goal from Conor Dwyer. In the second half Scoil Iosa scored 1 – 2 without reply to lead by three. Conor Ryan and Stephen Keogh got to grips with Mc Celland which restricted him to 1 point for the remainder of the game. Lucan drew level with 2 minutes to go but two late points from Conor Dwyer and Jack Hazley secured a famous victory for the lads from Malahide. All in attendance were treated to a great display of hurling with great performances from Kevin O Flynn, Alan Kavanagh, Conor Ryan, Conor Dwyer and Sean Kane.


The team is made up of Syls Minors, Under 16s with two Under 15s in the panel.
