Syls first ever Ladies Minor Football Team

A lot of work has been done over the past number of weeks to enable Syls to enter our first Minor Girls Team in the History of the Club. They already have had a number of training sessions and many of players who have represented this team going back to 2005 are coming back. This is a very heartening development.

There is a two year plan for this team with a development team in 2012 (MOST OF THE PLAYERS BORN IN 1995) and a full minor team for 2013. We are delighted to have Declan Hetherton former Senior Championship winner with Syls and a Former Dublin Senior & Junior Player back training the team. He has been with us since the beginning in 2005. We are also delighted to get the help of Marie Duggan who is a former Cork and Munster Ladies Football Star to help out with the training. Marie is no stranger to Syls and she managed our U12 girls team to Championship success in 2000.
We welcome any girls born in 1994, 1995, or after to come to training Portmarnock Beach Tuesday 7pm (Fitness) Thursday Broomfield 7pm (Ball Skills). Ann & Marie are also doing a recruiting drive in Scoil Íosa this week.
