Syls Girls Star For the Dubs

The Dublin Ladies Senior Football team kicked off their Division 1 league campaign with a comprehensive victory away to Kildare last Sunday. Syls Niamh McEvoy lined out at midfield and put in a great performance throughout the match, scoring 1-4. Sinead Aherne was at her usual best in the full forward line and put 2-3 past the Kildare defence. Sinead Tracey came on at full back for the 2nd half and played a tight game to limit the Kildare scoring power.

Finally, Nicole Owens was amongst the substitutes and unfortunately didn't make her competitive debut on the day, but we hear she is in super form in training and will get her chance in the upcoming league games.

The final score was Kildare 0-6, Dublin 5-18. The girls next Dublin outing in the league, is away to Meath this coming Sunday at 2pm in Ashbourne. Only a short trip up the motorway to support the girls!!
