Syls Ladies Big League Win

Syls Ladies ere back in league action following their championship success and delivered a stylish performance to overcome a talented St Margarets team in Broomfield on Wednesday night. This Maggies team is backboned by many county players, have had the best minor teams in Dublin for the past two years and are odds on to win the divisoion 1 minor championship in 2012. But our girls now have an excellent mix of youth and experience and convincingly came out winners by 6~15 to 2~8.

What was impresssive about their performance was the mixture of high intensity, strong work ethic, movement on and off the ball and topped with skillful football. Macker & Sinead T provided the platform for the victory from midfield with Louise, Lucia and Lisa causing all sorts of problems for the Maggies defence. From start to finish the Syls girls never let up and the commanding runs out of defence from Kim, Leah & Michele , our opponents never got a chance to settle. Orlaith chipped in with 2-2, Carol bagged a couple of tidy points and Katie delivered her usual tally from long range.

Overall, a great workout for the girls as they prepare for the Leinster Championship 1st round in a few weeks time.
