Syls lads do well in Dublin win

It's a big honour for the club and for all their team mates when our lads are involved on the national stage with a winning Dublin team. Today belongs to Fionn Carney at full back playing a stormer and Gary Sweeney who scored 5 points from play and was named 'Man of the Match'. Congratulations also to Mark Maher and Greg McInerney and all the young Dubs. They do leave us on the edge of our seats, however . . .

For the 4th time the lads drew in normal time . . heading for some kind of record I'm sure . . . don't let their fathers relax and enjoy the game. I still think it's an omen - 'if it doesn't kill us it will make us stronger' - and it hasn't killed us yet so we'll enjoy today and then we'll want the whole enchilada, the Tom Markham Cup at Church Road in September.

Congrats also to Brendan Carney and Ciaran Sweeney for all the work they put in with their team. Thanks to Suzanne and Gerry Shiels and Declan Morris for the memorable pictures.
