U11 hurlers unbeaten in A Division
The U11 hurlers maintained their unbeaten start to their first season in the A Division with a hard fought victory over a very good Nh Mearnog side at Bridgefield on Saturday. Games between the near neighbours are generally close and can go either way but it is to Syls credit that they fought hard for this win.
The games went down to the wire and great blocking and defending was as good as a score but our men who raised flags were Eoghan Buckley (2-1), David Deneher (2-0), Niall Smyth (2-0), Conor O'Brien (1-0) and Dylan Andrews (0-1). Final score Syls 7-2 Nh Mearnog 5-4.
Well done to all the players who seemed more excited about the chocolate bars after than the great performance they put in.
