U13A’s overcome Kilmacud in Bridgefield

The U13A moved up to third place in Division 1 following their voctory over Kilmacud on May 10th 2011. The final score flattered Sylvesters somewhat as the match was close until early in the second half and it was only late in the game they stretched their lead.
At half time Syls lead by 2 points, having dominated possesion but perhaps taking the wrong options when going forward. In contrast, Kilmacud where living of scraps, but converting most of their opportunities – indeed but for a goal line clearance late in the half, Kilmacud could have been ahead.

The second half commenced in a downpour and Syls now started to deliver earlier ball both to the wings and directly into the full forward line – it paid dividends as we hit over five unanswered points from play. With a seven point cushion, we pushed ahead and sealed the match  with further goals and points – all from play.

Final Score; Syls 3-13, Kilmacud 1-05
