U15 footballers win over Cuala
Our u15 A’s won a decent game of football in Bridgefield by 1 pt . We started with 14 men and although we gave away a soft goal in the first 2 minutes the lads fought hard to get back into the game. At half time we were 6pts to the good but as often happens we took our foot of the gas and let the Cuala boys back into the game.
Their keeper pulled off some great saves from Eoin Cooney, Paul Grehan and Sean Meehan that would have allowed us to cruise to a comfortable win but instead the saves encouraged Cuala and we hung on to win by the minimum on margins. Mark Mcormack and Luke Cassidy put in hard work in mid-field. Luke Troy playing half back put in a fine performance scoring 4 points. Sean Meehan chipped in with 1.1 and Jamie Kennedy scored a nice goal.
