U16 girls lose out to strong Cuala
It was a great Weekend for Peil Na Mban in Syls first with Paudis comments in the National Media about our own Sinead The greatest Player in the Ladies game at the present time. We also had great wins at U 11 & U 12 with both teams reachinng championship finals. Our u16 team had a great run this year also but lost out in the Championship to Cula in the U16 semi final. It was a very good achivement to get this far considering that there was only 2 under 16 players playing in the game.
Leah White was our top scorer all year at number 14 while Ashling
Gill played in goal. Aisling made some outstanding saves and she is
probably better known as wicket keeper on the U17 Ireland Ladies
Cricketr Team. St Sylvesters u16's 2010 wish to thank these two girls
for all their support and also Hanagh Cowley who played in the League
earlier in the year.
We are very proud of the contribution that these girls and the rest
of the girls have made in keeping Gaelic Football the number one sport
in Dublin.
