U16 hurlers win at Kilmacud
u16H Div3 Kilmacud Crokes 0-06 St Sylvesters 2-21 Slow first half when we led 0-07 to 0-03 at the break after weathering a lot of pressure from some very fast Crokes forwards. Ciaran O'Carroll and Simon got into their stride with some excellent points late in the half while Dylan, Killian and Matthew defended well and Danny, yet again, made a few good saves and his clearances were all on target. Simon goaled straight from the restart, Shane pointed and we kicked on from there.
Highlights:
Paidi's (corner back ! ) point from an impossible angle. Purple patch in 2nd half when Simon, Shane & Ciaran O'Carroll racked up 1-9 between them. Some very stout defending from Thomas, Cillian, Ciaran Murtagh.
Much improved performance on last day's outing against Commercials, but still a lot more in this team.
