Under 15s get back on winning track

A cold and windy back pitch at Drimagh Castle CBS on the Long Mile Road proved to be a welcoming place for the Under 15s who got back on the winning trail on Sunday morning after a number of close calls in recent league matches. Syls led 4-1 to 3-1 at the break and accounted for St. James Gaels by 7-5 to 4-3 with a committed second-half performance

Seán Foley (three goals), Shane Cronin (two) and Senan McNulty (two) were the scorers-in-chief in a good team display that saw important contributions from Cathal Haughey and Niall Duffy at centre-field and a hard-working defensive effort marshalled well by full-back Brian Shiels.
