Whitehall keeper keeps Syls at bay

U13 grading St Sylvesters u13b 1-6 Whitehall Colmcille u13b 7-7 It would be a bit unusual to start it off about the opposition . . . so i will. Whitehalls keeper had "one of those games" that dreams are made of, and if Dubs heroes John o'Leary or Stephen Cluxton were watching they would know that Dublin will be in safe hands in the future, as he was saving shot after shot pulling the ball out of the air heading into the top corner nothing was stopping this young man, as he made 10/12 unbelievable goal scoring saves and he made a difference in the final score.

Whitehall cc started off strong and it took a bit of time before syls started moving.some lovely passing in midfield from Sean"the vice" Lonergan and Mathew"the tower" Norris got things settled down and Whitehall knew it was going to be a tough game. As both sides enjoyed some possession Syls didnt use it to their advantage, and great saves from David"the rock" Seagrave kept this game tight for some time. More great defending from Jamie, Joe  John and Arron's face (hope its ok for the disco),  attacking half back line of Jack, Adam, Barry made Syls dangerous when attacking. But with Whitehalls keeper "having one of those games" it was always going to be tough..

Half time came and Syls were 4 points down and a quick goal from Sean"the vice" Lonergan got it back to one ,but a few quick goals from Whitehall set Syls a tough task. A great point from Cillian"the hulk" Jennings (scoring machine at the moment) were Syls going to be a phoenix . . . unfortunately not this time, as Mark"the terrier" Mitchell and Paul"the shark" Finn had shots saved on the line a few times by "one of those games keeper".

Over all it was a great display of football and heart so the lads can be very happy,
The future is bright and the future is Syls
féach leat go luath.
