500+ players at Mini-Al-Ireland Finals

On Sunday 21st May, we hosted the St. Sylvesters Mini All Ireland. This has become and will always be a major date in our clubs calendar. The preceding 2 weeks of league matches saw 500+ boys and girls participate in very competitive and fun games across age groups U7 to U11. We were blessed with great weather for the league matches and this continued into the Mini All Ireland Final day.

The finals day saw the 500+ children congregate in Broomfield, where the Mini All Irelands Finals took place. The final day started with the first U7 sliotar throw in at 10:01 and finished with the final whistle of the U11 Football Final at 17:20. In between we played  92 matches.

To keep everyone entertained and fed throughout the day the Mini All Ireland committee organized a Dublin Fire Brigade engine demo, Farrell Hurley’s hurling demo,  Puc Fada and Football longest kick aswell as  book stall, cake stall , BBQ ( remember Hot Rods Dogs or Ryans Rasher rolls 😊  who will ever forget) We even had a chocolate fountain !

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the volunteers who worked throughout the group matches and final days to make this event a success. In particular, we have to Thank and acknowledge the huge effort the Mini All Ireland Committee contributed  in organizing such a large and successful event. We even built a bespoke website to ensure the Mini All Ireland 2017 was a success. The bar was definitely raised this year and it was an absolute pleasure working with you all . You know who you are !!

There are so many people who contributed to the success of the Mini All Ireland to name individually .. but Thank You , you know who you are and your support is very much appreciated.
