AHERNE leads the way on the scoreboard for the Dub's

Heading into Saturday's TG4 All Ireland QF versus Donegal, Dublin will be looking to four times All Star forward Sinead Aherne to continue to hit the form she has shown so far this season. Aherne leads the Dublin score chart with 2-18 (24) having played in all four of Dublin's Leinster championship victories. Lyndsey Davey is closing in on Aherne's tally with 2-11 while Carla Rowe and Nicole Owens are on 2-8 apiece in joint third spot.
Aherne was overseas last year missing out on Dublin's run in the 2015 championship which concluded with a two point loss to Cork in last September's All Ireland final.
The 30 year old accountant has been consistently one of the game's top forwards of recent times apart from her four All Star awards she has won seven Leinster medals to date along with a coveted All Ireland medal which she secured back in 2010. On that September date six years ago, Aherne was the top scorer in the historic All Ireland final win over Tyrone, scoring 2-07 in the final with 2-04 coming from play.
