AHL6 v Kevins

AHL6: Kevins 4-14 Syls 1-14 Sunday 28th August 2016 : Dolphin Park Despite the concession of 2 goals we worked our way back into the match and were only 2 points adrift with HT approaching. Unfortunately Kevins scored their 3rd goal on the stroke of HT and all our good work was undone.

We matched Kevins point for point during  the early stages of the 2nd half but our discipline was letting us down and Kevins converted 5 frees, (3 of which were of the needless variety).

Kevins tacked on another goal at the death to give them a slightly flattering scoreline.

In fairness we struggled to contain their big , mobile no 14, and he caused a fair bit of damage despite some rather dodgy ball\hurl juggling skills that went unnoticed .!

 

Highlights for Syls were Sean Graham’s 1-8 haul, and as Gregg was obviously stuck for players, credit to Dave, Gareth , Colly and  Eoin for togging out having played a full match the previous evening.  Padraic Kennedy lined out straight off a 18 hr shift ..!! …well done lads ...
