Club notes 23rd June

Our Games Development Officer Panner McCarthy has organised a superb programme of summer camps which will appeal greatly to young aspiring footballers and hurlers.
Application forms for the camps can be downloaded from the club website www.stsylvesters.ie and should be returned to Panner or alternatively left into the clubhouse on Church Road. There is great value in the camps, conveniently spread over the school holiday
period, which are open to boys and girls.
The countdown is on for our senior ladies who are in championship semi-final action against Foxrock Cabinteely next week (July 2nd in Kilbogget Park). Please support the team as they seek to take another step in their great bid to bring home the county title.

Sinead Aherne was in brilliant form (scoring 3-6) in Dublin’s Leinster championship win over Kildare.
The senior footballers continued their impressive form of late with a good win over St Vincents in the St Vincent de Paul Cup to advance
to the final against Ballymun Kickhams.
We had performances to match the weather from our teenage footballers over the weekend. Our U13 Div 1 team had a fine win
against Skerries  who were top of the table before this game. We have three football teams at this age group , the B Team also won their game against St Vincents and the C team  put up a great performance against Good Counsel  but just came up short. It’s tough for our C Team when they are playing clubs that have only one team.

The U14 non hurling team had another win and are in contention for a semi-final. The 15A match was moved from Saturday but the 15 B team continued their fine form with another win and are currently top of their league.

Both our u16 football teams returned after the exam break with wins against Naomh Barrog and Castleknock. The U16a team are joint top with Ballymun and have two crucial games coming up before the break against Ballymun and Lucan.
