Club notes May 19th St Sylvester’s

A hectic round of championship matches over the weekend left smiles on many faces, with the men’s seniors and intermediates moving on to the next stage of their respective championships. The senior team were good value for their 1-9 to 0-9 win over St Maur’s while the intermediates showed great spirit in finally getting the better of a game Clann Mhuire after extra-time to advance to the quarter-finals

Pride of place goes to the Under 14 hurlers who put in a tremendous effort in the Feile na nGael, reaching the Division Three final where they lost out by a single point to St Brigid’s. Well done to everyone involved in what was a fantastic effort and congratulations to Brigid’s on their success.
The championship action continues this coming week with the women’s footballers in action in the second round of the senior championship against Thomas Davis at Broomfield on Wednesday evening. Please go along and support this wonderful team.
A reminder that a limited number of tickets remain for Strictly Syls Come Dancing which
takes place in The Regency Hotel on June 7th. Tickets are available for sale in the clubhouse. Please check out the club's website www.stsylvesters.ie for some very interesting profiles on the dancers involved.
