We also have Frankie Farrell (son of Dublin Legend Dessie) who will give a short presentation on Dyspaxia &  Awareness for Coaches. Frankie is the spokesperson for  the Dyspaxia Association and knows at first hand the challenge of this "hidden disability"
Dyspraxia is a Developmental Coordination Disorder which makes playing a Sport a real challenge for those children affected. In numbers terms it is reckoned that 1-2 children in every class suffers from it which means that at least 1 player from each team is dealing with this issue without the coaches being aware or having an understanding how to help.
This is a subject matter that is very close to my family and I know to several other families within the club so I'd really appreciate a full turnout for Frankie and Aoife Crowley who is also working tirelessly to promote awareness of Dyspaxia.
I have posted a link to the Dyspaxia Association if you would like to find out more before the presentation.
