Extraordinary General Meeting 10th Nov

Re :Proposed Forest Adventure Area and Multi-use Reinforced Grassed Area in Malahide Demesne which was approved by Fingal County Council at their meeting of 11th July 2016. Having regard to the impact of this proposed development on the playing pitches in Bridgefield, the adjacent woodland area and the town and community of Malahide, together with the absence of approval by the membership of St Sylvester’s GAA club, we the undersigned, request the holding of an Extraordinary General Meeting of the club to discuss the following motion:---

“The proposed Forest Adventure Area and Multi-use Reinforced Grassed Area in Malahide Demesne are considered not to be in the best interest of St Sylvester’s GAA club, it’s playing membership and supporters nor in the best interest of the town and community of Malahide and the wider area of Fingal and Dublin City who share in the enjoyment of this public amenity. We propose that Fingal County Council be informed that St Sylvester’s GAA club oppose the proposed development and that this decision supersedes any previous correspondence from the club indicating support for the development.”
