Hurlers into C'ship QF

SHC B St Sylvesters 0-18 Round Towers C 0-18 Good lively game on a beautiful sunny evening in Broomfield, a draw was probably a fair result and enough to see Syls qualify for the quarter finals. Anthony Dunne was my man-of-the-match with a very solid game,, confident in collecting the ball, good on distribution and one save in particular that was top drawer. WE started very slow and were 6 to one down after 20 minutes. Kev O'Flynn dropped deep for a while and we clawed our way into the game at 0-08 to 0-06 at the break, Fionn and Martin Ormonde showing well up front.

Alan Kenny, Killian and Colm Byrne came more into the game after the break and we dominated the second half, Towers scoring mostly on the break but always doing enough to stay with us. Daragh came off with a hand injury, I hope it's not serious, Conor Meaney contributed two excellent points coming in for Colm. Brendán made his debut at wing back and aquitted himself well.
