Hurlers lose to Wild Geese in extra time

4th August Malahide Castle Wild Geese 0-22, St Sylvesters 2-13. (After Extra Time) A very entertaining match was played in the Castle on Tuesday evening in windy conditions. A loss in concentration at the end of the fist half let the Geese in for three unanswered points to leave us just 2 points ahead at half time despite a good Fergus Rooney goal.

A better performance against the wind was helped by a Lloyd Rooney goal but Wild Geese equalised on the stroke of full time. Feature of the game was the point taking by Sean Graham and Eoin Manning. Also 4 members of the under 10 team from 1989 played in the second half. Extra time saw the Geese outscore us to set up a decider against Skerries Harps on Thursday in Broomfield.
