Junior B hurlers win again - also top their table

AHL9: Syls 0-16 Realt Dearg 1-4 (Broomfield 25th May 2015) Another entertaining game from the AHL9 juniors and another win. Realt Dearg provided a lively challenge, their no 14 causing us a lot of problems. After conceding an early softest goal, Syls settled and started to pick off some nice points against the breeze. Pat Hoyne , David Kennedy and Eoin Kennedy all getting on the score sheet .

The Realt goal lived a charmed life on a couple of occasions, Shane and Lloyd unlucky not to goal as  the sliotar rebounded of every post !

Syls continued to defend stoutly in the 2nd half, Ciaran Murray taking charge of most tussles ably assisted by Eoin Manning, John O’Malley, Killian Roberts and Oisin. Killian Haverty made a welcome return to hurling and  together with Eoin Kennedy, they controlled the middle. Shane, Cathal, Lloyd and Declan worked hard up front.  Gregg acted as target man for  Ian McCafferty’s  long puck-outs,  keeping Dearg under constant pressure. Although we never got that goal despite Gregg’s best effort …! we kept the score board ticking over while confining the opposition to just 2 points.
