Junior Hurlers bow out at quarter finals

JHC "C" QF : Raheny 0-19 Syls 3-7, Syls Junior Hurlers bowed out of the "C" Championship on Sunday morning losing by 3 points. 19 scores to 10 tells the story. Raheny were very lively and constantly posed a threat moving forward. In a gallant effort to contain them we conceded numerous frees, 10 of which were converted by an expert Raheny freetaker.

A couple of well taken goals by Claude and an excellent strike by Pat Hoyne gave us a HT lead of 3-3 to 0-7, but it wasn't enough and in the 2nd half a wind assisted Raheny chalked up 12 points to our 0-4.
We battled hard to the end and were a bit unlucky that a brilliant effort from Eoin Kennedy rebounded from the post that would have levelled it. In the end though no real complaints.
