Junior Hurlers continue good form

JHC-C: St Sylvesters 2-12 Parnell 0-8 (Sunday 26th April Broomfield) Weather was good, the pitch was very good and the hurling was excellent. For the 2nd day in succession we were treated to a great display by Syls hurlers. This time it was the turn of the Juniors who picked up where the Seniors left off with a display of fast, determined hurling. Bualla bos for Greg and Danny as the junior hurling has come on a lot this year.

Once again the foundation lay in a very strong defence and even when Ronan had to go off injured (hamstring) the defence held their ground. Jodi, Ciaran and Des made up a very solid full back line, while Mikey and Paul gave us plenty of pace on the half-back line.  Mannix and Conor McMahon controlled the middle. Conor Dwyer had an excellent game at half forward, finding space on the wing and picked off a string of fine scores.  Syls moved the ball quickly and intelligently from the back and Pat, Ciaran Falvey, Colm O'Connor all got on the score sheet and rounded off a good weekend for Syls hurling.
