Junior hurlers enjoying the summer evenings
AHL 9 13th July 7:30 pm Malahide Castle - St Sylvesters 7-21 O’Dwyers 0-4 On a lovely summer evening, the 3rd adult hurling team produced a vey good second half performance to keep an interest in the later stages of the league. Leading by 1-12 to 0-2 at half time, the second half produced 6 goals as eleven different scorers contributed.
O’Dwyers were somewhat short of their best team and kept in the game for the first 20 minutes, but a goal from Eoin Manning opened up a gap between the sides. Second half goals from Seamus Early, Killian Kirrane, Seán Drumm , Shane Mc Shera and Hugh Murray were all well taken. Padraig Kennedy, Ian Mc Cafferty and Lloyd Rooney chipped in with points and David Kennedy was as accurate as ever from play and frees. The pitch was in excellent order and with the backdrop of Malahide Castle, the 12 supporters (and the ever present dog) enjoyed their evening.
