Junior hurlers lose to Castlenock in C'ship QF
JHC F Castlenock 2-14 St Sylvesters 0-16 Just ran away from us in the last quarter, Castlenock were able to strengthen the team from the line while we had no replacements and just couldn't quite hold onto them. Two early goals put us in the hole, we got back to a point deficit a few times but probably needed the goal to get us ahead and didn't manage one fro a few chances.
Defensively we performed well against some good looking opposing forwards, the two Mannions, Billo, a rejuvenated Kevin McKeon all doing well, Derek Roche was our engine room, well supported by Fergus. Brian Walsh, Lloyd, Pat Hoyne, Colm all showed well up front. A great last quarter from Declan Markey just not enough.
