Junior Hurlers up to second in AHL6

AHL9: Syls 3-9 Round Towers (C) 2-12 Sun 11th Oct 2015 Broomfield Towers are unbeaten and top this league, Syls doing well also in 3rd position and well in contention for a playoff spot so both teams had all to for and they didn’t disappoint. We were treated to a very entertaining and sporting match. The lead changed hands several times with never more than a point in it so when Towers went 2 up with FT approaching things looked ominous.

An inspirational substitution that  released Shane McShera back to the forward line instantly yielded dividends when Shane buried a  goal ( bit of poetic licence here… ).

This  put Syls 1 up in injury time.  However the Ref had the last say, awarding Towers a free when all and sundry thought it was a free out !

Nonetheless this  super team effort coupled with a never say die attitude sees Syls move to 2nd in the League  with one  match remaining.
