Minor Hurlers happy to draw, could have won
MHC B Clan na Mara 1-13 Thomas Davis 2-10 For the first half of the game Thomas Davis had the upper hand and
controlled nearly every aspect of the game, which saw us coming in at half
time with a 7 point defecit. Clan na Mara came out at in the second half
playing like a different team, where we started getting to the Sloitar
first and really pushing forward and chipping away at that lead.
Unfortunately for us a free in from Thomas Davis came in off the post and we failed to deal with it which meant it ended up in the back of the net for Thomas Davis 2nd goal.
The players really showed their worth and didnt lose heart, continuing to push forward. Thomas Davis were under pressure and ended up having 2 players red carded after 2nd yellows in the final minutes. With about 2 minutes to go we drew level. Right at the end Clan na Mara got a free which unfortunately dropped short which was disappointing, but in saying that if you told us with 10 minutes to go we could have a draw, we would have taken that.
