The Syls boys had to face into a very strong second half breeze and did so with aplomb. With Dan Murphy ruling the roost along the 40 yard line and playing brilliant hurling Syls continued to dominate . In defence Philip Ryan dominated and was ably assisted by Barry Crosse when introduced. In attack Denis O Brien gave as good a performance as he ever has in the Syls jersey - he was magnificent . He was ably assisted by Sean Drumm ( who played some great touches ) and Cathal Manning and Conor O Byrne .

The highlight of a strong second half performance was a classic poachers goal by Brian Walsh who pounced on a loose ball and sent it crashing to the net . All in all a very good team performance .

Roll on the county final .
